The Life Extension Foundation is the most impressive group of people that I have ever found who are totally dedicated to every facet of true human health. My discovery of the Life Extension Foundation seemed to be coincidence, although there are no coincidences. It came in the form of an article that I ran across in an in-flight magazine. Although the article was clearly intended to garner publicity, what really caught my attention was an offer to new members for getting lab tests at greatly reduced prices. Indeed, a quick calculation on my part showed that for the cost of joining ($75 at that time), I could save more than $300 on the lab tests that I wanted. And the best part was that I could order them myself, without having to spend time or money on seeing a doctor to get them.
Okay…saving more than $300 on lab tests in exchange for a $75 membership fee was a no-brainer. What I found out about the Life Extension Foundation after that, however, became a life-changing experience.
The goodies were, of course, significant. I got the usual membership discount for Life Extension supplements (no big deal…discounts are easy to find from most companies if you know where to look).
Then I received their book. And I mean a serious book. It is titled, “Disease Prevention and Treatment: Expanded Protocols That Integrate Mainstream and Alternative Medicine” (Expanded 4th Edition). It is 1,535 pages long! More than 30 medical doctors and research scientists put this thing together. The best part, in my opinion, is that the topic of every chapter is supported by a thorough list of scientific references. From my perspective as a research scientist, I can tell you that this is solid. It is the yardstick by which I measure all books on alternative medicine, and most of them do not stack up.
The icing on the cake was when I started receiving their monthly magazine. It was also full of scientifically supported articles. I am telling you, this is nirvana to anyone who wants to know the truth about natural approaches to health.
A unique benefit of all this great material to me, in addition to providing guidance for good health for me and my family, was that I used this research by the Life Extension Foundation as core material for my university course, Integrative Medicine and Society. That course entailed the exploration and presentation of scientific evidence for medical botany, one of my professional loves during my university career. I’m sure this bonus benefit isn’t going to excite you and most of the public like it did me. I just had to mention it.
Now to add more about that throw-away comment above regarding supplement discounts. Actually, what I want to say is that over the years I was often asked by my students, friends, and colleagues about how to judge the quality of a nutritional supplement. Some of my own laboratory research showed that certain brands were really pretty crappy, and certain ones stood out as better than most. Lab research like that is time-consuming and expensive, so I developed a list of criteria that anyone could use for evaluating products themselves.
The main point is that Life Extension supplements came out on top based on every criterion. So getting a discount on such high quality products does, after all, become a huge plus. In addition, since I often suffer bouts of laziness, one of the perks is that I can shop online, and whatever I want just shows up at my doorstep. (Shipping costs are fair, and more than offset considering that I don’t have to pay sales tax to an out of state company via online orders.)
Those are the highlights that I wanted to describe as a way of convincing you that it is worth your while to visit their website and take a look around. Oh, by the way, that $75 membership fee that I paid is a lot less now, according to the introductory offer below. I’m not sure how long it will remain, so let me know if you find out otherwise.
Meanwhile, go ahead and click on the image below to get an even better explanation of membership benefits than I have described here. I think they are amazing, and I am sure that you will agree.
“Accept this offer” just means that you will get some more details when you click there.
Oh, and one more thing. I do get a small commission from the Life Extension Foundation when you join through the link here. It costs you nothing extra to do so, and it will help support this blog so I can continue to provide all those great articles that you have come to expect from me (!).
And in case you aren’t sure about joining now…
How About A Free Trial?
Seems like folks in the marketing department at the Life Extension Foundation believe that if you can see how good their magazine is ahead of time, you will be persuaded into subscribing. I think it is a great idea, and the offer of a full year free trial is pretty astounding.
The image below explains the basic offer, so click on it to see how you can get it now.
That’s it for the time being. Thanks for your interest!
All the best from Life Extension Foundation,
Dr. D
